SocialBaton is a mobile app which allows users to orchestrate their own political campaigns.
Its creators wanted to make a logo for it and they were looking for something modern and clean. They also wanted it to remind of twitter at some way, then they decided to use a hue of blue similar to the one Twitter is currently using.
They wanted the logo to have a symbol as well. I created that symbol bearing this concept in mind: "orchestrator campaign". Here you can see the final result and some attempts made before finding a final solution for the logo.
In the images above, and after all the hard work done, you can see the final logo version created for this project. Notice that the logo even looks properly in a single hue.
While working on a design project, like this one, I'm usually in the habit of testing the symbol of the logo isolated and on different visual environments in order to see whether or not they are able to work on their own so that I can tell if they are consistent enough. Besides the final symbol isolated on different backgrounds in the images above you can also see where it comes from. The idea was to draw a picture of a conductor silhouette but the initial shape had to be changed so that it would match with the look & feel of the logo.
In the search of the right tone of blue for this logo in the image above I have gathered some of the attempts that were made.
Above you can see some attempts made on the search of the final one. It is normally a long journey to reach the final solution and it might take me quite a lot of time to get to that final solution.
Before beginning to work on a project I usually do rough drawings of the main ideas I would like to work on. Above you can see some of those ideas made icons in order to help me to come up with some solutions.
